yes. deward yourself. wards are worth like 100 gold? you'd be dumb to rely on your supports to do such things in archon
im core player and most of the time im the one buying the most wards in a game. you do this until at least legend where supports know what supports are. in archon supports are just core players picking int heroes

If your support can't afford a sentry or doesn't listen to you, yeah do it yourself. As long as you know where the ward is, it should be ok.
2500-4500 smurfs I get a gem at 15-20m after my first big core item just because people are shit at dewarding & there's like 3 invis heroes per game.
