not always true. I've been playing dota on and off since the old wc3 days and it is annoying that you still get to play with people who only have been playing for a short amount of time and have limited knowledge of the game.
Medals are only a linear progression and not a fair judgement to a players in depth know how of the game and all its aspects.
A lot of people know how to operate a handfull of heroes. But you ban one or lose a roll for "your lane" and they play like 2k again. Fair enough.
I would love to see a feature like the old Garena network, which was the more games you had played on your account, combined with the amount of wins would get you into higher brackets. That is to say veteran accounts had some kind of leverage to it... Play 5k games and you are bound to have a good understanding of the game.
This way you could also eliminate all the annoying smurf accounts with only 100ish games played on. Now they could all be playing each other and smurf each other instead of inflating the mmr system. Cool huh?

sounds good!
@Ryan My point exactly.
@lmao Oh yeah? then you havn't met the clan of the smurfs
imo the level badges should have some role to play when matchmaking is done. Or atleast incorporate number of games played and have that account for something. Same with unranked, i have to face ppl with lvl 15 badge.. feels bad man

^this. I think in dota theres 2 option, be average at every hero for long time, or be good at 1 for a short period of time.
When i play other hero, i need to read the spell description to even know what it does.
REset is a scam. When i play unranked i get matched with ancients - lower divine.Tried playing ranked after 4 years and calibrated the same shit mmr both party and solo.
If you had spent thousands of hours in crusader bracket, better stop being toxic and know that the problem is with the player himself.
I mean, if your MMR is super super low and you have a lot of time spent, then something is wrong. Personally, I am 3.3k now but I used to be 5K. What can I say, I'm a busy man nowadays.
for sure spent time ! why u doubt!!!!!

3000 something hours, started out at like 1500 bracket initially (something like that, was no ranking system that i remember before we moved to Dota 2 Reborn)
^ he has less hero and building damage than you and is ancient 1, hardly ‘the best’.
Excel is slow at detecting sarcasm, very slow
I dont insta block anyone except for griefers who add me on steam.
If I did block you Kowareta, you deserved it for wasting my time (not that I remember ever having added you).
I had a friend with 18k Hours & over 9000 games played still in Archon. I'm like. How? I'm not sure If I should be impressed or...

he did not mean instablock on steam, he meant it "in the forum conversation"
Alright I’m not gonna lie either the level of intellect here has dropped significantly to the point where cohesive sentences are a rarity or my own intellect has dropped significantly.

Spent time in dota or high medal? If someone is crusader and played 5000h do he know more than someone who is ancient and played only 500h?
