Well, it is hard to get an item by normal means. Item drops randomly, it depends on luck/probability, and Leveling guarantee an item.
Tips: Participate in event such as diretide and earn as many item as possible. My brother earned 1 triple unusual seraphic courier, 4-5 mythical, 5++ rare and countless uncommon/common items in that event alone.

how do you actually get shiny items? (mythical, rare) some of my games are awesome but i don't get one i only get commons and uncommons
