yes, this is frustrating, I just quited a match where one of my enemies left in early game and it said no stats recorded and it did counted as a loss
Now just had a game with an abandon (not sure if early or not, it was certainly at least 15 mins in) and this didn't count in the stats. What's going on? :)
All games showed in your dotabuff profile are rated games. I might be wrong, but I believe that at least 2 of 10 players need to have the option on with sharing their matches to third party, so you might have been the only one therefore not showing the match.
This is a problem because the API doesn't definitively tell us whether or not a match counted - we make an educated guess (which is more than 99% accurate) but still leaves some room for error in ambiguous situations. We had developed replay parsing functionality to make a 100% accurate determination but that is no longer available due to the API changes. We've requested that the API provide information regarding whether a match counts or not and will make use of it as soon as it's available.
Here's a more frustrating situation: after ~30 min we were about to win and suddenly the game frozen/crashed for the whole team at once and game was considered ff. How can the game crash for a whole team at once, without affecting any from the opposite team?
Check this game for details: http://dotabuff.com/matches/138785399
Dotabuff now completely hides abandoned matches, which I believe should not be the case. I'm not interested in ratings whatsoever, I just want to view the match overview from a browser instead of having to use the Dota 2 Client, which requires me to use a computer.
Quite inconvenient IMO.
>lose with early abandon; game counts
>win with early abandon (by the opponents ofc); game doesn't count
thats what i have had so far -.-

Hi
I thought the early abandonment of games was going to be addressed by dotabuff and not counted in the stats? I remember seeing this some time in the past. With the change to the valve API, has this not been addressed? Is it going to be addressed in the future?
Thanks.
