So are you saying that support playing got a lot worse this last patch? Even if that was true why would only Antimage suffer?
Please be clear. Antimage has been bad in pubs for a long time but since the fix to WL ult he has gotten much worse.
Anti-mage is a FARM~FARM~FARM~FARM hero. It's not like Drow, PL, Luna, they can easily carry pushing, ganking and making kills.
With the new patch, Drow, at level 6, get A LOT of damage, while Anti-Mage dont. So, in a pub, where people seek for kill, this is better than a evasive farmer.
Yea, anti mage doesn't really do much in mid game, unless you go for vanguard, even then, pl with his nuke + escape+ diffusal will deal more damage.
Because most games end too early for AM to get sufficient farm to carry and most people who play AM are very many baddies.
I hate play such heroes like AM, Spectre, Void, Traxex etc. in pub. Always there ale lots of supports, that can't protect him for even 10 minutes till I can farm alone and woods. AM is very useful in some game, but far more often I is being raped in the early game.
Well I don't disagree with anything any of you said, but none of it really addresses the question.
Why did AM drop to being even significantly worse in pubs with the last patch? (since WL ult fix, tusk added timeframe) He is over 3 % more likely lose than a couple weeks ago and dropped 6 spots in ranking.
I'm wondering if, like so many things, there were unnoticed bugs that made AM slightly easier to play and were corrected so that now he is harder for bad players to use. Or has meta game shift to more warlock caused more 5 man fights where AM is just not very good.

No thats way way back. But interesting and helpful. I was just looking at the last few weeks. So AM actually went up temporarily and then dropped back down. Thanks. I guess heroes move a lot more than I expected from week to week.
Maybe the people just prefer others carries. I almost never seen an antimage at my level pub...
noobs cant handle such a hero, going for vanguard, is such a big mistake, its like going divine on techies, if u r playing dota 1, or going to be implemented in dota 2, at least thats wut i think in my opinion, and also its bcus of lack of support, or too much focused early game, as he is rly scary if got gd early game..

Anitmage has never done well in pub games. But since the last patch (which did not change him) he has lost 6 spots and over 3% winrate.
He is now 5th worst hero with barely over 41% win rate. Basically a consistent feeder hero that takes a lot of farm and does nothing with it. Why is he losing even more than before?
The only really big change that is directly visible is Warlock rocketing to the top. But warlock rising barely hurt drow or luna win rates. Is there somehow a connection to Antimage? Could it be that people do not get bkb on him? What do you think?
