If it is a 1v1, the heroes must be same, so that no guy has an advantage over the other, like Tinker can pretty much own almost any mid hero if he maxes rocket and laser first, but he later becomes useless (with rocket laser maxed) and if u actually got march he would have helped the team much more, and farmed his BoT and dagger faster, so ya, same hero for fairness

people don't do same heroes because you dont have the same heroes in a normal game and people want to practice for that

to make it fair you usually swap the heroes after the first match and you might have a 1v1 SF game as a decider
so if u want matchupls like normal game why play 1v1
u can play 5v5 instead and have those

This is somehow the same we r talking about, but if it was only 1 game, u can't decide who is better by giving on of the TA, and the other qop, TA would/SHOULD rape qop easily, if u swap the heroes in the next game, then the same thing would happen then u would be forced to ge 1v1 same hero (SF vs SF), to decide who is better, Fistful of Tangoes
you play 1v1 to reduce the game to the laning aspect in mid to eliminate external factors (may or may not include runes)
you can also leave the game if it's decided or doesn't go anywhere so you can play more games
ta doesn't rape qop at all
if your ruleset doesn't allow bottlecrowing then ta can't spam refraction all the time since it has quite a high manacost now
if you allow bottlecrowing then the qop can just spam scream and daggers and at least get decent cs (you can get sentries so ta can't melddodge it)
and ta gets sentry and destroys urs lmao and since ta is way stronker in lane with refraction and meld noway u can keep up with him early

I return to this post a few days later and MY GOD, if you don't like the rules then I am not forcing you to play. This was a free tournament with a mythical prize, just meant to be some fun for those who wanted to play.

Hi, as the title says I will be running Dota 2 tournaments with item prizes (Currently a random mythical), all information regarding these tournaments will posted on the Steam group EPICentre_Gaming (http://steamcommunity.com/groups/EPICentre_Gaming).
The aim of these tournaments is to grow EPICentre and provide members with organised tournaments, private matches and competitions. So I offer this: For evey 50 players that join EPICentre_Gaming I will increase the prize pool of a single tournament (not yet announced) by 2 Dota 2 keys (Starting prize = 1 Mythical).
