I am finding more that since the new patch that the style of gameplay has drastically changed and its becoming harder to adapt after playing the same way for a number of years.

For those struggling as well here are some things that I found that your are welcome to either ignore or add suggestions on.

    1. Tryhard picking doesn't really work anymore as it has become more of a wild brawling game then an organized team composite based game.

    2. Try searching RD, AR, SD etc. Avoid AP where possible as you will get everyone scrambling for the most imbalanced picks (e.g. Huskar, Medusa) without any game design or fight plan in mind.

    3. Farming game no longer works so hard hitting right clickers that need to farm will just become useless given the new play style.

This is from what I have experienced over this last painful weekend of mostly losing and of having to adjust to the new changes that have nerfed the good and imbalanced the bad.

you're right in that the "pub meta" is mostly just skirmishes & teamfights. Alot of that has to do with the fact that there is so much gold available from kills & assists that it's acceptable to roam & fight more, & farm less. You should play heroes that can lane well without constant support & scale well into midgame. Any super-early or super-lategame heroes will have a much harder time winning the game. That's just my opinion.

Both huskar and medusa have ~45% win rate.

It's not about heroes being OP, it's about more people wanting to experiment with the heroes that were changed.
