why would u want it to run on high settings and why the fuck laptop
if u want it for gaming go for desktop
get the asus one, you should be OK. The problem is, however, the shitty onboard graphics card. But Dota ran well on my 5.5 years old desktop before I replaced it, so my guess is the Intel HD Graphics 4000 is just enough for dota on high, but I'm not 100% sure
you could play a max resolution without AA. I think
I have a intel i5 2.53ghz
nvidia 310m (pretty low lol)
1080p resolution
4gb memory
aftermarket 256gb intel ssd
and I still play dota2 at 1080p, no AA
dont waste 500$ on laptopt just to play retarded game
better buy gym membership or hire a pro or buy some decent alcohol or invest it into something that has some worth
dota will only give u round back and and nearsightedness i wont even mention mental damage that is guaranteed with valves mm and report system
I WARN YOU!
this guy is right, this game makes people brain damaged if you play it for a long time, this matchmaking is even worse than having aids
Yeah don't waste money on this game. The mm is shit and the outcomes fabricated... What's that Sam? A winning spree? Here have complete FUCKING MORONS IN YOUR TEAM. I am so fucking mad right now. SO. FUCKING. MAD.

Desktops use way more electricity than laptops (that's my main reason why I buy a laptop cause my dad doesn't want high power consumption). Plus laptops are more versatile - you can watch movies in bed, nolife at your grandparents house etc.

All those computers are shit, rather save up a bit more and buy a normal pc that can run the newest games, maybe not on max settings, but atleast run them. If you buy one of those for gaming, I'm sad for you - it's a waste of cash. I can understand you're having money problems or you are impatient but you somehow managed to save up 500$, so maybe you could push it up to 1k?
I bought a pretty decent gaming laptop for 750$, it doesn't have a NVidia GTX but it can run all games pretty well atleast on minimum settings. I bought mine 2 years ago so you should probably aim for something better, but you get the idea. http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Acer-Aspire-5750G-Notebook.46094.0.html
Also, you might want to read more about computers in general so that you can choose one for yourself. Usually if you want a pc for gaming you should aim for a good graphics card (preferably a NVidia GT ***) and a decent processor (intel i5 with 4 cores is enough, intel i7 is overkill).
Laptop gaming will always be more expensive and inferior to desktop gaming which is an issue because laptops are so practical.
Here is a little guide not just to be able to play DotA2 but other games comfortably.
Minimum Spec.
i3 or greater processor. AMD's are great for number crunching, programming etc but Intel will perform better and cooler.
4GB ram. Any higher is a bonus but stacking more ram won't give you any performance unless you actually need/use it.
Hard Drive doesn't matter as anything you can buy for $500 won't have a decent SSD so just get the one you want.
Graphics cards are the hardest bit of a laptop and you have to be slightly picky about what you buy. Just because the number is higher or newer doesn't make it better. The higher end of the last gen will be better than the low end of the new.
Nvidia I would shoot for a *35 or *50 as that is most of what you will find in your price range.
AMD I would go for *750 *770.
Be careful with what you buy as sometimes it is better to just invest like $100 more to have something so much better than what you could buy with $500. I don't shop US but newegg has some neat options.
