Normally standin players mean a team is weaker...but getting S4 as your mid standin, this seems unfair. I really don't think 4FC's normal team is as good as Revenge/Artyk.
That is not always the case as you said. But teams have synergy with their players. No matter how good the replacement is he won't be able to adapt the team that easily.
I agree, synergy is critical...but in this game S4 just outplayed Artyk so badly his team didn't have to do much but follow along behind him and cast some stuns.
I didn't watch that game so I don't have much to say. But pro players are generally able to adapt any strat and situation so it doesn't matter much. When you get a non-pro standin however, you might face a lot of problems.
You are right, 4FC is up 6-1 against Denial/Artyk/Revenge.
Although 4FC had at least 1 standin all 7 games....last 2 months of games according to joindota.
