Concept is flawed from the start. If you separated based on hero and then skill tier (per game, not played) then it has limited merit.
who said that i don't separate heroes? i'm not gonna give away the formula
skill brackets are not available through steam api
Cool that you used me and scandal
But your system is obviously bugged. It says that scandal got higher rating then me, and i clearly showed him mid who had the highest rating/skill.
so please fix im #1
''Wall of fame will feature top 3 players according to their rating and the highest ranked team player. Coming soon!''
You should do more then top 3 players.
Do like 50 or maybe 100.
> who said that i don't separate heroes? i'm not gonna give away the formula
You want us to just trust those two numbers? I'm sorry, that is not how those kind of services work. Also, you clearly show a single graph for KDA... It is meaningless, more so as it does not even provide feedback on which heroes you should improve on. You could have the best algorithm ever made, but how would we know that?

Well fluff who mostly plays support gets 9.26... I have tried with many players high and low skilled players as well and I think it's pretty accurate. Good job.
kuroky most played heroes: bh, tiny, am, morph, clock, ursa - nice support heroes,
fluff is playing support more than him maybe half time but still often goes mid and carry.
and look relntless most played heroes, all support like tree, cm, disr. non of those pros play it as frequent
those playing support will always will have lower rating. il draw some asociation like measuring worth by numbering assists from defender players in football, ofc it will be lower than those in atack or midfield.
do you count in how much gold someone spend on supporting? how can someone have same impact that gets boots in minute 10 cause he is spending gold on chic, obs and sentries. ofc he will die more often and sooner, he will be often focus target to kill 1st and have lesser potential to sustain in kills and assists.
just name it dota2CARRYrating, so every fucking newb supporter on this noobshit nigger dotabuff retarded site stops crying
V-GOD
just remove from forums that retard above, newer saw anything that make sense from him, only retarded spams
Forums are place where all kinds of people are free to speak their mind, how that person conducts themselves is up to them and isn't a "removable" offense.
@a5491877
Regarding Relentless I will say this. I've played around with the formula 3 times and previously it was this:
Each player had a rating for every hero he's played at least 3 games with. So let's say we pick his tree and his score with this hero was 500. In the database for this hero the scores for all the players that played tree would be listed as for example 445, 345, 656, 500(his), 547, 999.
Now if you sort this you get 345, 445, 500, 547, 656, 999. his score is third out of 6, 3/6 = 0.5 = 5.0 rating.
Do this for all other heroes. When i've done all this - he was still in the bottom 10%.
I should stress this again - CURRENT FORMULA IS DIFFERENT.
Not saying he is a bad player or anything maybe the rating wasn't accurate enough because there are few tree pickers etc but after a bit of thought i've gone back to current formula.
All in all there is no perfect system but there are few places you can compare against.
dota2rating
pubstats
dotabuff
You can use the three of these to gauge your performance and look for places you would like to improve. Also @bad to the bone thanks a lot for doing it and even though it may be off or flawed the community appreciates the effort you are making to bring a comprehensive reporting platform to them.
I mean the users can compare stats, not yourself. It was my understanding that while the queue was on hold it was in the works and being reworked but yes, down for the time being.
i seriously doubt pubstats will be back. There is a reason why you had to queue for days there to get your stats.
Links to the dotabuff profiles have been added.
bad to the bone, gj for your effort ofcourse.
support rating problem is smting apstract anway
@a5491877 there is no way to make an accurate rating that would make everyone happy. Just look at the current matchmaking rating :DD
the queue has grown to 100 players so it might take a while for everyone to be processed, not sure where this came from lol.
btw still looking for: 'Anyone who has any idea how to make the website appear in google searches'
I've tried searching for my site in bing/yahoo etc - it comes up on first page but still nowhere to be seen in google.
@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah if you mean the making of the site took forever then yeah - i have other things on my to do list, i made the website just for fun.
@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah 100 people in the queue, takes at least 2 minutes for every person to be processed. you do the maths :)
@google - It just takes some time. Placing a link in forums is a good idea to make google find you. Just wait a bit and spreak the link and google will find you.
so it doesn't take winrate into account? seems pretty flawed if its only KDA and lasthits, correct me if im wrong.
Well, got rating 3, team player 55% with 5.69/5.71/13.03 LH 2.96
Sucks to be support rating or sucks to be me ? :D
Now it's 5 hours and it's still not done. Is this even working for me or am I just too retarded?
Did you create the system alone ? If that is true congrats man ....
" And true - the bottom players mostly do play supports. "
Really disagree with this. Again congrats for creating this alone but dont try to defend it because there is no way to create a perfect accurate rating. So i think this should be look just to have fun and not like a accurate system ( in other words i know for sure that a lot of people who are very low in the rating will be better than those who are up in the rating).
A lot of really good supports player will be in the bottom of the rating ..... and if you think that they deserve it you are very wrong.
Pro players who play supports on competitive usually dont play supports on pubs.
"But get this - when i've averaged the rating for individual heroes across 600 players already in the database - these low ranked players were still in the bottom 10%. "
If they have been playing supports a lot its normal that they dont play that well with others heroes. The way you say this makes look supports players like the worst players in dota ....
I kinda want to know the how the team player % is calculated. Is that a secret too or is it just (your kills+assists)/(total kills+assists)?
@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah when you have posted last time i've checked you were in the waiting list and you still are. At the time there were 70 people, you should've been processed by now. Not sure what the issue is - i will look into it.
@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah have you toggled your match history on/off? Unless you were deleted from the queue for this reason i don't see why this should be taking so long. I don't want to stop the queueing now, if you don't appear by tomorrow I will rework the queueing system.
So it doesn't take winrate, KDA or lasthits/denies into account... then what is it based off?
Did you even read the topic? Multiple factors come into it, some of which i've listed above.
@Sam Fuckin' Peckinpah I've never had this many users queueing before so I'm not sure but eventually you will turn up. Tonight I will work on a proper queuing system which will display the amount of time a player has to wait before he is processed.
player's participation in team kills is basically same as assists and GPM/XPM is heavily connected to winrate and K/D ratio, so it doesn't really make much sense.
I'm not here to bash or anything im just genuinly interested. But you stated that your formula does NOT take K/A/D, winrate, lasthits/denies into account but then you state that it takes a "player's participation in team kills" into account, which pretty much is the same thing as assists? And that GPM/XPM is a factor aswell which is highly connected with a persons overall stats in a match.

Some examples:
http://www.dota2rating.info/ScandalDotA/
http://www.dota2rating.info/vroksnak/
I've added some annotations which describe what particular stats mean. Rating is calculated based on the player's participation in team kills, GPM, XPM and other factors which I will not disclose.
People playing carry heroes will have a slight advantage but if the idea takes off - there will be a separate rating for people playing support roles.
I've searched for some pro players-supports - they have pretty good ratings because a lot depends on player's participation in team kills. Examples:
http://www.dota2rating.info/76561198042528392/ (Kuroky)
http://www.dota2rating.info/76561198053977899/ (NS)
Now I can predict a lot of butthurt from players like Relentless who will complain about supporting players being at a disadvantage etc. And true - the bottom players mostly do play supports. But get this - when i've averaged the rating for individual heroes across 600 players already in the database - these low ranked players were still in the bottom 10%.
Feel free to love/hate - i will take any feedback. I'm doing this for fun only ;)
Anyone who has any idea how to make the website appear in google searches - feel free to contact me cos i'm not really a web developer, i'm a software engineer.
