Maybe this is why they are changing to call is "heroes of the storm". It sounds like they will be 10 years behind dota 2 on balance patches.

If they were launching this 2 years ago, it had a good chance to compete with Dota/LoL, but now, I think it's too late for it. After first starcraft 2 Blizzard kinda' failed to impress me with their games.

yeah im in a beta for some time now. yes atm its 1v1 but there are plans to add more modes along the road, so atm now only constructed and arena. arena costs 150g or 2 bucks, you grind gold by winning in constructed or from arena prizes.

its awesome game. for anyone who likes card games, and warcraft universe.

Well, I must admit Blizzard are still very good in making trailers! Game itself (heroes of the storm or whatever is called their dota) looks pretty mediocre in my opinion, but the trailer is epic!

to sign-up for the beta you just have to go on your account and then to Games & Codes then go to "Beta tests I'm interested in" and select the game? or this is not the correct way of doing it?

Dota have 122 heroes for choose, blizz dota barely have 20

20 is still 2 much especially for dota playerbase
getting that number down to 2/3 heroes + 1/2 active spells on each one would be okayish

lol the hero I played most often might not exceed 20
but I definitely love to see all the heroes in dire and radian teams lol
that said I can safely say I know every hero in dota, lol

personally id rather team fight for 20minutes and farm for 5 instead of farming for 20 and team fighting for 5 or less like in dota 2
i hope for 2/3 skill shots on each hero <3 visible ladder and match making within brackets
+ no items is pretty good idea
you literally have to be better than enemy in each fight because u cant steamroll due to better items

I don't care about Blizz launching a dota-like game.
I'm pretty sure any ladder system they'll have,dota will develop a better one in the future(hopefully)

It is supposedly way simplified but that's ok. It sounds like it's going to be super easy to pick up, as in you can play 1 - 2 games and know everything. It's for casual play between frustrated dota matches.

Does anyone know the pricing model? Is it f2p with in game transactions, or sub based like wow or just purchase?

I totally would like a game which requires more strategy, less shit like last hitting, farming neutrals and shit. What makes moba cool is fighting real people with some strategy which makes you feel clewer and pro.

I really love this heroes of storm. COOL HEROES, a gameplay I gues I will like more. ( No last hitting, No jungle and shit), more strategy, more teamfight, more fun.

Hearthstone is presented really well, but is not quite ever going to be as good as MTG since you can't interact with your opponent on their turn.
As for HOTS, can't wait. It'll be nice to play as heroes such as Thrall, Furion, Kael, King Leoric, Kel'Thuzad, and other heroes that were never ever in DOTA.
