I can explain what's going on:
Some people stack to boost their MMR. As a result, you get the occasional noob in high MMR games, and it becomes painfully obvious when they solo queue. What the ranked system does is it inflates your uncertainty and matches you according to your public MMR. The 10-game calibration for solo ranked will deflate that person's MMR to it's proper value, since it's expected that he will keep losing games. I actually think it's a pretty cunning move by Valve that will help stomp out poor players from higher level games as well as keep smurfing to a minimum.
Also, focus on early game impact. There's no better way to grind out a win then turning an early game advantage into a quick push. Go aggressive or go home.
Don't cry about losing a match. If you play well, your MMR will still rise even if you lost. Same thing works backwards too, you can lose MMR if you sucked but won.
i feel you bro just two days ago i had some earth spirit that went 0-20.. :/ enemy team started fountain farming us at the 25 min mark.
1. You go into Ranked MM with your Normal MM score.
2. During calibration, your elo only changes by about 50 points, each match.
3. After calibration, your elo only changes by about 25 points, each match.

Just realized solo ranked is not solo ranked no more. WTH? was in a solo ranked game.. at the end it show 2 people parties :S.

Hey dude everyone has a bad game. My last od game i probably lost my team the game against a pudge mid and a roaming lion who kept ganking me, that kind of shit happens dude.

first game: u had no kills, pudge had 13 that means u suck, u had farm but u had no fucking impact in the game and u ended up losing -> mmr goes down cause u suck nothing strange there
second game: on avg your impact in terms of k/a was below avg for your team so even though u won u werent the pillar for it hence u only gain some!

Ranked MM is full of one sided games and (selfish) idiots. You ask your team for help? Flamed and reported. You own mid and top? Too bad, your bottom lane intentional feeds, then ability abuses you, rage pings for 5 entire minutes, then reports you. Enjoy your mute ban.
Not like it's a punishment, because nobody would listen to what you say anyway.
I see 2 people in my team buying Hand of Midas, the total game duration was 28 minutes, clear sign that it was utterly stupid to buy that item (barely paid for itself in that time; caused loss of the game instead). I'm mid, doing pretty decent (despite that the enemy counterpicked me mid), bottom and top lane fed 15 (!) kills within 10 minutes.
In 2 out of 20 games our support actually buys wards - while I'm buying Mek EVERY game, theoretically saving my support 2300 gold that they could spend into wards or dust.
On the other side, the games that I win are so one-sided, I got 3 godlike sprees within my 10 calibration matches, I won one of my last games, playing Jakiro, a hero that I don't have played with for at least a year, despite skilling the hero incredibly wrong as well ...
And the best thing: This is on the first live games pages with the players having the highest MMR.
This system is incredibly broken.

Also picks were retarded as fuck, I pick Legion and call woods... Troll is randomed and calls safe lane, then we get the OD pick.
So far so good.
CK then picks solo offlane and Batrider is picked up and literally does nothing, contests a few jungle camps with me which I don't mind sharing but leaves our 2 melee carries fucked. Troll gets angry, buys midas as first item and just merrily runs to his death despite being told to get back countless times. I set up all I can but in the end even I get fountain killed a few times. MM points stayed roughly the same (I don't track exactly) so at least it recognised that the loss wasn't my fault.
I generally play support in probably 75% of games, if I get one. Few people on pubs like running support, so I just go ahead and suck it up. I generally always try and get Mek, but I'm learning every day. Outworld just gave me a couple ideas, though.
For every time a game like this happens, theoretically there is a game where you are on the stomping side of the game. How come we never have people complaining that they stomped a team too hard?!
Unless you're really unlucky you're going to be on both sides of the coin 50% of the time. Unless the reason for being stomped is you.
Shit games happens. Just more memorable when the feeder is on your team.
