I think 24 is very normal to have kids. If you are too old when you ahve kids, it will be more tiring to bring them up. My dad wishes he had kids at 25 instead of 35.

Well that is false on many levels. Nothing about being 24 and winning TI implies a dwindling career.
Retiring for a few years is good. Will give others a chance to win unlike SC2 players.
