No. I literally can't take it anymore.

If you ruin a ranked game you might be Peruvian
~Jeff Foxworthy playing doto one day

If you queue outside of your regional language and do not speak the language of the area you queue in you are actually the person ruining games for others.

Edit: Had to add this because apparently dislike of queuing with foreign speakers isn't as black and white as I thought.

Apparently people don't understand that doto is a game and people play for quality rather than quantity. Having to deal with a Foreign player who doesn't have the decency to know the language of where they queue are the people that vilify entire races in the doto community.

Not everyone has all day to play and find a DECENT game of Native speakers in THEIR servers. You know why some people don't queue in other specific servers even though they are easier? Because they don't want to end up with people they can't understand.

It makes no sense for someone to queue in the server that actually has their language to have to learn a different language just to cope with people from other countries queuing in their servers. There are literally 2 separate options to be put with people in your own language, how does learning a separate language end up being simpler than a few mouse clicks.

Nobody seriously cares about accents if you can actually decipher what somebody says. I don't care if you speak English poorly because usually I can understand the gist of what you are saying.

This all go's for every person out there, if you are queuing in SA and you don't know a single excerpt of Spanish you are just as scummy as anyone else.

To reiterate a previous point, I don't blame foreigners for every loss I have. Sometimes you just lose and sometimes it's your own fault. I've played several games where I don't care if I lose because it was an actual entertaining game with people I could actually play a game with and chill instead of a roflstomp where one team mate flames and makes it unpleasurable.

Valve could fix this but they don't so I also blame them.

pendling between normal and high skill complaining about language barriers and attributing them his losses HMMMMMM RIGHT

How many languages do you learn in USA or UK? (on average)

          #12

^in marica everyone learns English, and like 2/3rds speak Spanish in most states you are required to take a language in school but for some people that's Spanish. any way if you are marican you need to forget every language that isn't marican (its like English but you are fatter and live in a trailer park and do meth while you speak it) which is why people from the USA don't like when south/central Americans play on there servers.

In our school we have the choice of learning Greek, German, Spanish, or French. But I like to use Rosetta Stone at home for Japanese

I came back to edit this just because of how much I hate this comment.
I lose sometimes because I suk? I didn't say it was every time HMMMMM RIGHT. I border on a 59%-60% win rate so again this isn't about losses. But that probably doesn't matter because as far as I can tell by the sheer number of games you play you have to add comments like this to rationalize how much you actually play. Half the time I bet you see a new person on dotabuff or even see someone in games and you verbally shit on them because they aren't in your odd Very High Skill Elitist group. Next time to you type an excruciatingly ignorant comment like this you'll think "Maybe I shouldn't be an ass" but then again maybe not, you gotta somehow let people know how big your epeen is(Google it). It's also cute looking at your most played heroes and it kind of explains why you must be in Very High Skill and why you seem to feel so strongly about it. looking at your first couple hundreds of games you were bordering the same area as I so technically we are in the same boat there bud. I mean maybe I'll find a hero to bang out several hundred games on to go to Very High Skill. Who knows sensei? And to be fair I wouldn't have cared if you wouldn't have added normal-high skill to your sentence but you did so I feel like you have some serious Superiority complex problems(Again Google it) or are just an ass.

I'm sorry I have to learn a different language to play a game on american servers. Damn. I'm also hardcore bruh I totally acted tough lyke I sorry I so threatening.

I have 4 different friends who took Spanish and half the time they don't know half the shit they are saying. The thing is there are things called dialects and some places have different dialects like Mexican Spanish or Andean-Pacific(which is in Viva La Peru)

                but ya HMMMMM RIGHT

What if I queue in a country that doesn't speak my language, but I can speak it's own fluently?
                  /sarcasm

Just get better, it's not like you actually need to communicate where you are playing to win games.

                  bibi

I play on East American server, im from Montréal and im a french canadian, yes i do have an accent. Most of the times people arent bothered with that but there will always be typical retarded american calling you frenchfags or peruvian because they cant even recognize the accent. Its sad because even though english is my second language, i learned the difference between their, there and theyre...

Americans (the typical bad ones) are too self centered and doesnt know that most countries, especially in europe, has to learn at least 3 language.

                    Soultrap

I don't think that Valve can create new server for every language and dialect...

BTW, who is worse: player who speaks language you can't understand or player who says nothing at all?

I wasn't saying make a server for each dialect I was explaining how terrible of an argument learning Spanish is in this situation.
And btw it's required to take 2 years of language in the state I went to school but I didn't take Spanish, I took the language of a place I planned on visiting. Not just to play doto.

                        [Lk].Zano

You know everything you said can be easily solved by getting some friends who play doto, right?

Edit: Oh wait, you seem to have some. Good, now either get some more or try to coordinate a schedule where you can play together more often.

Do you play flawless games where you make zero miskates/play errors? if not then you are contributing to you own losses, and have no one to blame but yourself. Until you play perfectly you have room to improve, and should fix those mistakes before you worry about other people in your games.

They are variables you cannot control or influence, so why worry about it?

The amount of information that can be communicated through pings, alt-clicking and chat-wheeling is actually rather astounding at this point. If the perceived trouble is what other people are saying, let's just safely assume it's on average as useful as what the average player is communicating - that is to say largely irrelevant.

                                SHUT UP DIRTY NOOB

                                Metallicize

dude, did you really write like 1 page of shit related to language in a video game?
idk why you give a fuck if someone understands English or the language of the server for that matter, because even if you have advice on the game, 90% of people won't listen cuz : a)they got music on (music gaming), b)they don't like your advice,
                                  c) everyone is muted from min 1, d) the guy you are talking to is muted, so he won't reply, e)they don't give a shit about what you have to say.
and i bet 95% of the time it is e), cuz really when i hear someone suggesting items (when noone even asked), or crafting strats in the middle of the game i just tell them to keep it to themselves or tell them to shut the fuck up (depending on the mood), also i can mute them.
like really when you are sf against 3-5 nukers in the enemy team and your teammate says " i think you should get bkb"
                                  thats how mutes/reports/flames are born.
next time you want to communicate to your teammates, think about what you say ( 1 sentence can lose the game), or better just don't.

                                  Dire Wolf

2 years of language is usually required in high school now but it's so basic, it's enough to probably go somewhere and ask for directions or order food but not hold a fast paced conversation in a dota match.

It doesn't make a lot of sense for most Americans to become fluent in another language because English is the business language of choice. It's for practical reasons more than egotistical ones, why learn French any more for example when if you go to Europe your odds of finding someone who speaks English are just as high as one who speaks French these days. Only spanish in the southwest and maybe chinese if you do business there seem useful any more.

But for dota, just ping and use chat wheel and that will be plenty. Talking is overrated (except to flame lol).
