It completely depends on the hero you are playing, enemy team and your team. I almost never go bkb on sniper either cus with his range in team fights you'll be at the back and less likely to get nuked or disabled. It's more core on heroes in the scrum who don't want to get disabled like wraith king, troll warlord and tiny. You still might want it on a sniper if enemy team has something like a centuar or tidehunter who always blinks on you in fights.
It's situationally important on a hero like void cus he has his chrono but the worst thing is to get disabled during it so sometimes bkb is necessary. Then some other heroes want to tank and don't really care about disables like axe, centaur, tide. On them it's also situational. Same with razor cus if he's already draining and popped his ult he's dealing damage even if disabled. Just depends if he can be killed cus of the stuns or what not.
And then you have to look at the other team and how much of their shit you're really going to stop. Here I skipped bkb cus pduge and spirit breakers stuff goes through it anyway, doom goes through it, jug has no disables so it only stops like a couple pheonix things, not worth it.

The worst is when enemy team has a bunch of spells worth stopping and a bunch of spells that go through bkb like a razor, witch dr, dp team. All their ults go through but it's still worth stopping a bunch of their nukes so bkb is good but it's not as much of an iWIN button as vs a luna and CM.
BKB has other good stats as well though and easy buildup, don't forget that. Yes it's extremely expensive for the stats but I'd never say 190 more hp and 24 dmg is a bad thing.
Your sniper build is interesting though. I'd have never thought heart was good on him, skadi is sooo much better but if you go deso every game obviously you can't skadi. I agree though vs the voids, PA's and juggers of the world stacking hp works great, I usually god maelstrom, s&y, skadi vs teams like that, skadi shuts them down hard as does the maim proc.
don't worry ur not the only one who hates building bkb. Almost every carry player hates building it, ofc becouse first of all, its no fun item. Secoundly, as Timbewolf said it is situatonal. The bkb core days have passed, becouse, yeah, the change of the carry heroes in the meta, and the popularization of other items (like skadi, and even manta). Thirdly, if you don't want to teamfight, this should be obvious, don't BKB. Just buy manta and split the shit out of them.
But there are games where you must buy BKB, where enemies won't allow you to hit at all. This should be obvious too. Sooooo, BKB, a situatonal item. Obvious too, right?

Why would you opt for a heart instead of a BKB when you're up against an Earth Shaker? Like, if he stuns you with fissure, you can bet your sorry ass is going to pop whether or not you have a heart.

Yeah I notice a ton of people hate getting BKB because they think it's too boring. Generally going BKB is never a bad thing.
Some people say hold off on it so you can have your 10 second BKB later in the game, but honest, if it means you can win or stay even in fights mid game where you wouldn't have otherwise, it is still worth it. 5 seconds late game is still a very strong active.
And yea heart is really dumb on sniper. If you're gone on already who cares if you're able to tank a little more, you're still screwed. I would say blink is a better survival item at 2/5 the price, even lothars would be better than heart.

Well his issue is he spams deso and you can't mix deso and skadi. I didn't look too closely at the matches but yes, definitely bkb vs storm. Otherwise storm can zip in and completely cc you to 100-0% on sniper. Then the other game, vs an Axe with blade mail you have to have it or he will taunt you into blade mail all day. I don't really care about es or slark, they're only problems if they seriously focus you can you can beat them without bkb with good positioning but once heroes go blade mail you've got to get it. Even if you stop hitting said hero switching targets letting one guy live another 5-6 seconds can swing a fight.

Dont make items because it's fun, make items that let you win, because if you lose you won't have fun and if you win you so have fun. Also heart on sniper is terrible, because you will still get bursted or chain stunned even with heart and with bkb you don't.
The same counts for your storm spirit. Somethimes it is better to get bkb after orchid instaed of the bloodstone.
Ps. Always make soul ring before soul booster on storm.
Rule #1 of being a low tier scrub, never get bkb when enemey team has lots of disables, not worth it. Just go MoM so u can be kited more and take more damage !

So here is my dilemma. I have highly despise getting BKB. Recently, i've been playing a lot of heroes that generally get BKBS as their core items. I keep having this debate with my friend who shits on me for not ever getting bkb, but i generally like to opt for manta/heart if possible. For example, i've been playing a lot of Sniper and i generally go yasha into deso then heart. With the void/jugger picks every pub game, i like to say that heart>bkb . What are your opinions? I feel as if a lot people nowadays rely on BKB too much and i kind of feel it's over rated. Lastly, i think i became more of hater on BKB after watching a interview of EE and i remember him saying something about not wanting to get BKB either on his heroes. Help me out !
