It's not accurate, and it's not fair. If you play with friends with a checkmark near their name, you basically are guaranteed a spot on the rankings.

It definitely weighs division the most.
I was like 400th on sniper diamond 10, then I played a game with RL friends and won but my rank went up to like 500th and diamond 7.

Hi there,
I'm just creating this topic to my curiosity of how hero score works as I have been using Dotabuff Plus without understand how it really works. For example, my hero score in 3 games that I in consecutively with the same heroes were 16, 17, 18. So if I were to keep my winning streak on that hero, will the hero score increase to like 19, 20,21 etc? Is that like a rewarding system for catch up?
I also don't understand how Professional difficulty players get higher hero score, I find it bias on how it works.
For example clockwerk, I watched a player who's top 10 play, and that person misses 80% of their hookshots and fail to make an impact. Maybe this is due to ping, lag or whatever the reason could be. However, I question how is that possible that the system works as plan? How is hero ranking that accurate? I mean, it's new and there's work need to be done. I just hope it'll get better through time.
Can you also please check my Clockwerk and see whether the ranking is accurate? I get 5 points a win, and to even get to where the hero ranking of professionals are who play way lesser games will requires hundreds of games play.
Also how can you judge games that are 2-3 years old, the data should be more current as skills improve.
Please let me know what you guys think. This is just curiosity.
Thanks
