full metal panic has a bad mid story and ending... if i remember correctly :p
and you get too into it from season 1 imo... so you kinda have to watch the rest

i dont even know what these series are since i dont watch anime (well not completely true, i saw dn partly when it was on tv), but u cant call some1 dumb cz he prefers A to B. Its just a subjective judgment.
I mean, i perfectly know that Fellini's 8.5 is much, much better in terms of quality than Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels by Richie-or-how-is-his-surname-spelled-I-forgot. But I still enjoyed last one more than the first one. It doesnt make me dumb hopefully, and I cant say its cz I didnt watch enough good films to elaborate taste - I was into cinema for years.
That's absolutely the same situation. Judgments of the type "He likes X, he should be dumb" are just a smaller form of completely sensless discrimination based on belief that everyone with different opinion is more stupid than you are.

Dude, monster has a great evolution on characters, nice scenes, nice characters, good story, summarizing well directed.
BUUUUT the history has much errors or things that not fit correctly.
At least DN have all the history well maded. Really that serie is worse, but the creator of DN story has a great brain and the Monster creator is like a normal brain with a story that u can read in a normal novel.
I'm surprised that nobody mentioned "Full metal panic!", I think this anime has everything: great plot, interesting characters, beautiful music.
Also, I can recommend deep psychological anime "Kaiji" (not for kids).
If you like racing you definitely must watch "Initial D" (may cause addiction).

DN is made for kids (with: cute girls, extaggerated emotions, visual effects...) and monster is made like any other good serie(no anime).
@Triplesteal, i dont like manga and this things but that 2 are good.
