sniper is nothing without his team (in case his enemies know basics of doto). good positioning is impossible without correct initiators and counter-initiators, and sniper needs them.

kinda sucks to buy eul's or any utility item on him, but at least it saves you some deaths. Like buying aegis for 2850 gold in a sense. He's a slow dwarf anyways, so the mobility does you good at least, but mana is kinda wasted since he has a lot of int gain (literally smartest agi hero) and near free manacost on shrapnel. Just helps using assassinate more I suppose.

Supports tping has always countered sb, but you can't always trust them to do so in pubs. Try to tell your supports to buy a tp early on if you're mid and scared of getting charged, in case they don't know.

What pomii said is right. I'll try to tp in if I suspect my sniper is getting charged if I'm a lion or shadow shaman. Problem is sometimes someone else was dived in the past minute so I can't tp in to protect the sniper. Also, get your teammates to call out if sb is missing. That way the support will have some advanced warning. If uncertain if sb is coming, they may not be able to tp in time if the sb is fed enough.

Get fucken shadowblade, in normal skill no one buys dust or sentry so he cant kill you :)

@1234 people do buy dust in normal skill. If they didn't I wouldn't have made a post about it.

I may look into a euls. Teammate cooperation is pretty hit or miss so I can't consistently rely on teammates to save me.

Well, I'd guess you could manta dodge it. As in right before it lands you cast manta. I'm 1.6k so I haven't practiced manta dodging extensively but I'm pretty sure that if you can dodge it with pl's doppelwalk you can dodge it with manta. It'll be hard though. It's 0.1 seconds.. You gotta time it pretty much near perfect.

But yeah, people do buy sents and dust even at the 1k bracket. Sometimes cores refuse to carry dust but more often than not, they'll have it.

If he is killing you super early and no one is rotating there's not much you can do. But build s&y and skadi and he can't really hurt you mid/late game cus once his charge and ult are done and you lived through them you will kill him. You need to get the hp to live though those nukes. Bashes suck too but he attacks slowly and if he pops a mask of madness he'll die 30% quicker. I think going mask yourself vs him is a bad idea. You make yourself even squishier where one bash can do you in.

Stick to your team, always farm near them.
Sniper is really countered by SB, but PA counters Sniper even more.

Rush linken sphere if u can't trust allies. I also like to go for PT instead Phase if enemy has big solo kill potential on me.
