Does anyone not live in China and play on that server? I always feel like it'd be so much more enjoyable - there's already EU West but I'm curious if there are any differences.

Just because Chinese are well respected in the Dota 2 community, just like Japanese are well respected in the fighting game community, doesn't mean it's gonna be some wonderland of honor. Played their for a whole day, flamers exist there too, the expression "zzzz" seems to be popular there more than US west for some reason.

since u play on us west u must know the great number of retards who are 5k+ and still don't know the basics of dota (clicking spells + items properly, etc.)
I generally don't like foreigners playing on our server unless they live in China. I don't like playing with a teammate with high ping. If you really want to play on pw server, at least try some paid service to reduce ping. Ideally they can reduce ping to ~100ms.
And I can tell you playing on pw server might not be enjoyable as you expect. There are probably more flamers, account buyers and stuffs like that.
Regarding the skills. Most Chinese think 5k on pw > 5k on us and I don't doubt it. Chinese are usually more serious about games. There are more try-harder on Chinese server.
