Things I learned from dotabuff formus, if you are under 5k you are shit.

I am only on reddit for the news. The userbase sucks, if you don't post politically correct opinions le epic downboating brigade will doom you to hell.
They also tend to lap up and lick the assholes of Dota personalities (and most importantly, Valve itself).

I don't understand how those can be compared

Reddit disallows smart people from getting their voices out due to the voting-system, and is geared towards the masses (90-110 IQ). If you want to read some intellectual posts, Dotabuff is the place to go. Dotabuff is also filled with trash, but at least some in-depth posts pop up every now and then. That never happens on Reddit.

I got 4k karma and I don't know how actually, they tend to downvote the most logical shit I say and the totally random and retarded things I say get 200+.

Reddit is trash, objectively.

If you want karma there are some simple steps:

1) Troll everything and everyone, start circlejerks, post dank memes, many shitposts, but dont insult Valve in any way, cuz they are afraid that GabeN will close their little game
2) Write posts as you were a 2k playa
3) Dont be afraid to show your stupidity, or lack of knowledge about the game. I think yesterday someone said that after 3 years of playing he still doesnt know the kill streaks, and when i reply to that explaining how they work, i actually got downvoter like -6 and that guy got like +50

reddit is good as a resource sometimes (finding fixes, mods, some okay guides and stuff) , but as a discussion board it's awful because of the upvote system.

The LEDDIT community itself is gay as fuck. I only use it for the memes and dota news.

The way reddit is laid out is stupid.

reddit is filled with redditards and swagfags nowadays that's about it. Prob. the same bunch of kids what post those, "look what mmr I'm at" crap. Just a bunch of retards fingering up topics like a circlejerk.
