Just why would rocket be actually good? Its just a stun + nuke which now has a gigantic CD at level 1. Why is the spell any better than literally any other stun in the game?
not much hero can dispel/disjoint rocket at the laning stage so you're either forced to go back and let him get some free cs or you take the rocket quickly and let him get free hits on you
rocket "stun" in lane is actual stun time + the time it takes to reach u from the moment its cast because u either retreat to the tower or stay in creeps and lose half ur hp to autoattacks
u can also be a wise man and choose the middle ground and die to barrage

I am not saying homing missile needs to be good, his 3 other spells are enough to make the hero good, but nerfing the most irrelevant part of the hero is just a horrible approach.

that post is bullshit tbh. patches were actually decent back then. even if there were no "content" patches, new heroes were a common sight and it was fun to play the game when MMR was not a thing. also the "back in my day..." arguement is ALWAYS irrelevant. i have seen those days too, where only 1 game out of 10 was proper. host left the moment they died. everything was laggy. that doesnt mean it should be shit now too. valve is putting almost no effort into the game clearly and some people still want to defend them because "it used to be worse"? just fuck off. shitty mobile games have events at christmas and whatnot and literally all valve has to do is just copy-paste the first fucking diretide event but they are too lazy even for that. its pathetic.
i also dont side with the other redditards though. constantly complaining about how dead the game is and asking for pudge arcana even though most of them will not buy it. and the fucking battle pass complaints are getting old at this point too. just how fucking hard is it to see that it will be released when its ready? valve releases something early: "omg valve why are you guys so lazy, this shit sucks its clearly half-assed" valve releases something when its actually ready: "omg valve you are killing the game people are clearly asking for battlepass why cant you just release it already!!" they will not abandon their biggest fucking money-maker. they just want to release a proper product and these guys are just constantly and constantly want to bring it up. i might go insane soon honestly.
