Yeah, its 7770 factory OC'ed at 1150/1250 GPU/RAM. Old but still fairly powerfull i5 750 at 3.5(need to get better cooling, will do) and pretty decent gigabyte p55 mobo with nice VRM section so i can crank up that i5 all the way until it melts. Basically with this setup I can get him at 4.0Ghz easily, just need better cooling.
Pretty budget rig, but coinsidering how much I paid for it I'm so fucking satisfied.
Forgot about SSD. Samsung 840 120 gigs. Sums it up pretty much. Highly doubt you can find better rig for 150-180$, that's how much I paid for it. :)

For Dota this works like charm, I can finally put everything on low, max-out texture quality, render quality on 100% and put 1080p and enjoy at caped 100 FPS, so that's what I wanted basically

Yeah nvidia it just expensive af,tbh it doesn't matter with ur old cpu to play dota 2 thanks to our dota 2 Vulkan Api it boost more performance in low end processor but since dota 2 is CPU bound,once u got new cooler system and Overclocks your processor it would be smooth af.
I suggest u get AIO cooler coz it's free maintenance and cheap,what monitor u have ? using 60hz monitor it would be worthless since u got 100 fps.60hz monitor will not be able to display 100 fps+ coz it frequency is too low.And i think it's better to get 100-144hz monitor that giving you more reaction time that leads you to perform better in dota 2.

Nah, I'm just planning to upgrade to i7 6700k and I want to push it far and keep it cool. And this one in the pic is Phenom II x4 b55 overclocked on a stock cooler and it runs nice and "cool" :D It's a Phenom II x2 555 Black Edition unlocked.
Nah, I want it for my upgrade, this one is going to a trash can :D Actually while playing games like dota it's ~ 49 - 51C mostly and when I play something like GTA V, AC Syndicate it pushes it to 100% load pretty much all the time and it goes up to ~55C on a prime 95 after 2 hours it showed me 66C, so I was like fuck it, it's not going to be like this in real applications and 55-56C is fine for me. It's running for ~5 years+ like this.
That's odd as fuck, no fucking way that with that shitty BOX you get those temps. Keep in mind that when you unlock your Phenom II X2 your temps will be uncorrect if you measure it with "core CPU temps".
They are fishy as fuck even when it's locked. So try to measure it by looking at CPU temp instead.
It's different for Intel tho. You want to measure core temps on Intel..
I think you'll be fine with that corsair. Might be a bit more expansive but I think it's worth it.
Basically for amount of money you have to pay for 1150/Skylike it's not worth it to upgrade unless you are like running GTX 980ti into SLI so your old i5 will bottleneck you.
You're better off just upgrading RAM/GPU even now.

U can't see core temps when u unlock it, but when it was a dual core I checked it was ~ the same as a CPU pretty much +/-2-3C.

IPC compared to any AMD cpu's are higher clock for clock. Compared to Sendy/Ivy, they don't scale that worse, I assure you.

depends if you're on budget or not. You'll gain significant perfomance gain if you just upgrade your i3 530 for i5 750/760 and OC it to 3.5 at least.
You'll need a decent mobo for past that, but 3.5 should be doable with any board. Give me your mb model btw
