Pretty good idea, too bad valve will probably never implement something like this because they're too busy pumping out compendiums to earn more cash

Sounds like a good idea, I first picked bristle last game and ended up trying to support safelane somehow lol

Love the idea! Indeed it's a lot like WoW dungeon finder which works really well and it would surely prevent a lot of drama in DotA.

What if........
There are additional parameters available for MMR? Example:
1) You can choose your role (Support/off-lane/jungler/safe-lane carry/mid)? So I state myself as support in MMR page and request to be matched-up with a team composition of 1 off-lane, 1 mid, 1 safe-lane carry and 1 other support (Jungler)? You can state multiple roles for quicker queue time and to show-off your versatility.
2) You can choose your preferred formation, 1-1-3, 2-1-2 etc. So I state I prefer to play in 2-1-2 and request to be matched-up with players who prefer that formation. So no more dying in solo-offlane, and having two sucky support in your safelane. Of course, in game conditions may change based on line-up, but you get paired with like-minded teammates who also prefer your formation.
3) You can choose your preferred side (radiant or dire) and also preferred colour (lucky colour blue ftw for those who used to host games in dota 1)?
4) You can choose up to 3 preferred heroes in your team? For instance I choose tide and lich. There would be a high chance that I get paired with both tide and lich players? Of course they would not necessary play those heroes, but at least you get paired with a competent players who are good in those heroes (i.e. top 3 most successful hero for each based on their profile page).
