I actually didn't know what it was. So now I know, and I see it kinda bathes in irrelevancy.
this is why i am talking about. Noone cares about Uk Dota cuz none of the 9 teams based in the UK try to use home grown talent, they just sign sub par foreign players. The reason why teams like EG and VG are good is because they found local talent and gave it time to prosper. If the UK dota teams did that, there would be a much wider range of UK players in the Pro Scene
NA Doto > EU Doto, a new era has come, it's about time we got the lime light. Kappa
Just like PPD said (he seriously said this on stream the other day, probably joking though) " If you ain't playing on US west and East, you doing something wrong. " XD
They had a Dota 2 team based in UK named London Conspiracy. It consisted of 5 Greek players. That actually tells tale of UK pro scene.
I wish there was a bigger UK doto scene, maybe it's up to us to to become 8k players. Until then we can just be Alliance Fanshits.
I remember playing a game against ForLove international (Fl.int) and they were pretty normal considering this was jdl division 3. If im British but live abroad am i considered part of UKdota?
Isn't London Conspiracy a Swedish team?(I know that London is in UK but the last time I saw the team tag it was with a Swedish flag.)
"If you ain't playing on US west and East, you doing something wrong." cause US is easy wins so why not.
The issue with UKDota and something I have found playing in a team here and about is the UK is full of LADs. Literally people who just want to fuck about and never take anything seriously.
1. Koreans/Chinese etc. are artists, they try and master something, and work at it till perfection.
2. Games and/or Dota2 for a lot of EU nations is all they have so they pump a lot of time and energy into it.
3. USA has a delusional idea that they're naturally the best at everything so they fight to prove that point.
4. UK just wants to have a few beers at the pub, nothing more. Same pretty much applies to Australia.
5. Same reason as some of EU applies for SEA, mostly it's all they have but cause they play it so much you tend to find talent there.
TL:DR If there is talent in the UK he's buried at the bottom of a pint glass.
Actually what Pacman said, I used to play a bit with peeps for the FL.int group and they're actually decent to an extent.
Pyrion Flax and Shane are organising "engLAN" which will be an UK LAN streamed live on twitch probably cast by UK casters.
@Raymond, Their DotA2 head, Linus belongs to Sweden. But, they were heavily located in UK during their All-Greek roster days. Now, they switch between UK and Denmark as they have signed that 13abyKnight team which is basically a Swede-Dane stack. Their MD is British.
I know one 8k player he goes by the name of Kappastorm no one has ever met him but legends tell of his immense skill.
Well, I did play in a couple little leagues here and there, insomnia etc but the UK is pretty meh when it comes to taking esports seriously , like ofc they play games just not competitively enough.
@kappastorm I really dunno what the hell this shit is http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/2109088621
No radiance no items in like 40 minutes yet somehow you avoid death, but if you avoided death how didn't you get the cash?
Its partly a cultural thing. People of ages 16-21 are pushed to go to uni, get a job etc. And cost of scholarship is so high in the UK (one of the top 10 most expensive countries in the world) that people don't want to squander thousands for a chance of success in a scene where so many have failed.

The problem is he completed drums, then did not fight. If he finished radiance before drums he probably wins the game.
UK players are garbage kids with bad attitude and no skill, that's why they are no pro players from there. There are maybe some exceptions, but havent seen any so far. Just try to win pub with UK player in your team, you think it's hard?
NO. It's impossible xD
I thought they were all busy eating black pudding, drinking tea, and pissing on the Scottish for proper Dota.
3. USA has a delusional idea that they're naturally the best at everything so they fight to prove that point.
not delusional when it's true
Why would anyone care about the Dota scene of a place they don't even live in? Do you care about Turkish Dota? Australia Dota? Lebanese Dota? No you don't and neither does anyone.

UKDOTA is a barren wasteland. 1 pro player who was kicked from a tier 3 team, and an outstanding caster who doesn't even get the best gigs. We need some exposure, like a LAN tournament or at least some good organisations. Any thoughts on this topic would be well appreciated.
