I dunno what kinda people you play against, literally any dual lane will zone zeus out if people are even half decent, a support can go behind the creep wave and ruin your life, GOD FORBID (as zeus would say) he has a slow or stun, suddenly you're dead. Terrible idea, don't try this unless people are massively retarded and don't know how to zone you out, also the other support can do whatever he wants because one support can deal with you easily, especially since you won't be getting any damage since you shuold be lvl 1 for like 4 minutes straight. Also, since you're underleveled and have no jungle sustain, you can't go to jungle to recover, so you lose your lane, you're rekt for life and since your primary purpose is damage and you won't have much of it, it's pretty much game over. The reason some offlaners can get rekt and still help their team is that they have a skillset that's useful beyond damage, that's useful for locking people down while somebody who's had a better lane can deal damage, so those offlaners eventually catch up. Also offlaners who can jungle are in a much better position because if they can't contest the lane in any way, they can always default to the jungle, especially with iron talon now.
So just don't do this unless people are massively retarded in wich case you can do anything I guess.
i spammed him offlane last time but in higher level mmr i think its really weak; it only worked because the supports were 5k and werent that good at zoning.
think he really excels as a pos 4 support in the offlane though, you just start with sobi sr recipe and 2 clarities, then you get 3 last hits for fast soul ring then keep spammming arc lightning to fend off the double supports triyng to zone your pos 3 offlaner. I had my most successful games with this playstyle.
Ofc the idea doesn't work agaist trilane but I already tried and I have experienced in the offlane. Zeus offlane works agaist a 300 hp but 20 armor Morphiling. Agaist a Jugg/CM I wouldn't pick him
Anyway just need tranquil boots (gotta go fast) and soul ring,can't catch you and if you buy some wards it is kind of easy to avoid a gank. You have to have in mind that you are a support too and you will have the gold anyway because arc botlhing is faster than the enemy deny(unless is a melee or jugg).
If the enemy carry is a killing potential hero like Slark or CK,you are gonna have a bad time but as offlaner just play safe and don't die. After level 6 ask for a gank or do one(you need full mana for your combos) and somebody will eventually die
he can do pretty well in a duolane as long as the rest of your team does not feed
but it's exactly that which will makee your team more likely to feed so idk then. i've managed to recover as damage with veil and lens if you manage to get either of them is fucking insane
If played a support his items can help the team. Veil+arcane boots are enough for him and his mana no need anything else.
I prefer to have a Zeus support than a WD that can't buy wards/smoke because Aghanim is more important
^So apparently this is a good thing to do, I've never actually seen someone be successful with zeus offlane because people mostly just end up fucking feeding like retards and are lvl 4 at 15 minutes.
Zeus is slow as shit that is why,if enemies have stun you die if you don't play safe. After starting items ( salve 110g 3 clarities 150 soul ring recipe 125 ward 75 courier if nobody else want to buy) I rush boots and then soul ring, bottle is middle doesn't need the rune (Invoker,Od)

No it works cus zeus doesn't need anything, just hit like level 7 and you are two shotting bitches, so annoying as a support when you zone him out and he still rapes the game.

Recently I saw so many games with Invoker or OD mid lane,Zeus is a week opponent for an aggressive midlaner so why not offlane?
He can solo,arc bolthing foher easy last hits and continous pressure on enemy carry that will finish soon the tango or salve that he has and fast level 6.
Bad part about him,no denies unless the enemy is dumb,mana intensive(until bottle+soul ring),slow and easy to gank if you are in bad position
Offer good damage and the midlaner/jungle can have his space
