General Discussionim 5k and lost a 2.5k mmr game

it happens, im 5k and ive lost plenty of 2k and 3k games

Now people saying your teammates dont make you lose and bla bla bla they DO

they really do, majority of my deaths in these games were caused by expectations of my teammates that was swiftly betrayed

Dota is a team game and game without team is no game

MMR doesnt measure skill, it is a measure of winrate, i play all the heroes, if i just get my best one and play mmr i could get out of my trench, but i dont find that fun to play.

often when you play on low mmr you underestimate (both conciously and subcounciously) fucking everything and doing stupid shit and you never feel like you can actually lose because you keep getting away with everything and getting 20 kills
but then it happens

That's nothing, I have made my 5k friend lose so many matches against 2ks I lost count. I received help from his 1k friends, but still no excuse.

No biggie. I'm 3.9k and I lost 1.4k game. Actually 2 of them.

Doesnt mean you don't belong in 5k or something.

Same, 4.1K here, I lose 2K MMR unranked games more than I should, I do f*** around a lot though, but no excuses. >.> Yeah, you're right Arin, lub you!

But some people will tell you one of the two things:

- Quality of games don't get better whenever you hit a new milestone (2k, 3K, 4K, 5K, 6K) but uh, yeah, they do. In 2K there's way moreeee people trying to play carry than there is people in 3K trying to play carry. (Still a lot in 3K though) People also give up faster in 2K, and are quick to call GG after mid dies once, and call him stupid, ect)

- Don't blame teammates (LOL, uh huh)

I don't think i'm pro, i don't even think im good at dota (makes you feel better hearing me say that huh? Probably does) but it's kinda hard not to blame them in most cases, I don't go around flaming anymore though, cause no player in the HISTORY of dota has ever played better cause you flamed them. There's some games people are so bad in 4K, i'm pretty sure not even Miracle, or another pro player could of carried it. LOL

Actually j think the problem was you went only one dmg item after aghs, crystalis. You went bkb and linkens and blink. That's a ton of defensive/utility weapons and you never finished daedulus. Usually I think people rush mkb or deso after aghs

i have 6k solo and I've lost 2k games before, if you don't try hard you are likely to lose a game

Cant carry all games with WR. All the space you made for am and he don't farm he becomes pretty useless.

i lose a lot of games on this acc when i play with my friends.

albeit its usually 4v5 because i only use this acc with brand new ppl/garbage/etc and im often doing retarded shit but still some of these games are so toxic as fuck. i honestly think im flagged in some kind of smurf queue because every game feels like its 2k people mixed with 4k smurfs. sure im better than them but they just snowball on my team every time.

I think it's mainly your expectations that make you lose. You are used to thinks like tp counterganks, stuns being chained etc.

Coupled with overestimating your skills relative to theirs means you don't play the 'right' way to win down here...

By 'you' I just mean everyone playing 2-3k below their mmr.
