thats why they heal with octarine
That's not the reason. Tidebringer as well as any form of cleave gets lifesteal from Octarine even though cleave is physical damage. I'm pretty sure poison touch and other physical spells also benefit from it.
That's most likely a mistake.
Luna's Moon Glaives are listed as Physical on other sites so they should be physical.
Also Octarine heals off SPELL damage not MAGICAL damage. Spell damage is any damage due to an ability (either hero or item abilities). It does not include any ability that adds its damage to autoattacks as bonus damage (such as AM's Mana Break or Ursa's Fury swpies.) or attack effects that can benefit from other attack modifiers. (For example Void can lifesteal off his bash damage with regular lifesteal and so his bash cannot heal with octarine)
It will not heal off any damage with either the HP removal or No Reflection flags (Hearstopper Aura, Sunder, Dispersion) but oddly does heal off blademail.
It Will not also lifesteal off Sacrifice, Split Shot, Flack cannon and Geminate attack
It WILL lifesteal off any other spell based damage regardless if whether its physical, pure or magical damage.
That's why when axe has Oct Core, he heals while he spins. It doesn't have to be magical to heals from it. You get it from the damage you do.
@inx4c so why bristleback heals with octarine by second skill and it phys dmg?

Just thought I'd post here to let the guys at Dotabuff know that on the Combat tab, Moon Glaives is erroneously classified as Magical damage rather than Physical.
Thanks!
