edit : ppl mentioning morph , i dont think morph is that good vs slark , i have no problem killing him over & over with abyssal diffusal blade. CK is cancer to play against , you have to snowball rlly hard & constantly gank him to keep him behind in order to win. Bloodcyka is another joke of a hero , maybe i never faced good ones but alot of time ppl pick him insta after i pick slark to "counter" me but its laughtable because all they know how to do is rupture me then i ulti & tp back base & watch them QQ. The only period where bloodcyka counter slark is early game when you're farming jungle between waves & you get low hp & he proc thirst thats it. ( all you have to do is not go wild on the farm & keep an eye on ur hp ez ). The best heroes to pick if enemy team has slark is AM , LC , Axe , riki , Ck , maybe sven too

Slark is a stronger 6 slotted carry than slark , but am is a counter to slark so I'd say am would beat slark but slark would beat more heros than am would if both six slotted .
Agreed. If Slark and Medusa have about the same farm the Slark usually wins. However, as has been said above, any illusion hard carry like PL, CK, or TB will absolutely shit on Slark.
For some reason even though tb is an illusion carry slark seems to do ok vs tb , can't quite put my finger on why besides slark being a hard target to sunder though . I agree with that do and the pl though are tough matches for slark although you hardly ever see a ck not to mention ck farms slow as molasses and currently pl sucks so slark safe from him as well lol.

Its how you play against him. If you pick unkillable solo support hero and play safe not letting him a solo kill. You cant kill phoenix solo. Not letting him get pick off. Dont go as solo farming. Always go with your carry or support

slark needs mana to complement his strengths. a slark that cant trap/purge/burst/disappear magically from the map by doing a weird dance is simply a glass cannon. each skill has to be popped at a specific time, not just all at the start of the fight like sven or ursa
which means slark wont be fighting on his optimal terms since he has 2 choice: use all skills including dance at the start of the fight, or try and risk it by letting am just hit and pop your ult at the last second and hope am doesnt bash
bkb isnt a great solution since am can always just bait that shit or gradually burn your mana, you dont have any stuns maybe abby but that's just 2 second and your bloodthorn if ever you had one am has manta so he can just blink away
also am's strong finishing ult exploits slark's item build which adds more int (se, skadi, ecchi sabre) and believe me, it hurts like hell
Heroes that destroy slark are heroes that makes his spells feels completely irrelevant or gets items that destroys slark faster than the slark gets his core items

However spectre can press R to win and destroy the rest of his team while the slark deadened 1v5
Slark cant handle early blademail or aoe stuns on ur supports. Silence help but he can just purge it off if he is rlly good. jist draft puck and riki for some disgusting combos. Dream coil in smoke screen with riki ulti hitting everyone
slark shit on spectre, but you have to play hit & run against him don't play slark like you're playing a fucking sven , just hit spectre build up some essence shift & run away when you get a bit low & so on, if you can't kill him he can't & shouldn't kill you either , unless he get help from his team mates in which case you should never focus the spectre & kill his supports first anyway obv, playing slark has alot to do about good target priotisation.
The reason why AM win slark is that slark can't afford to man fight him for a long period of time without getting all your mana fucking dumpened, also AM is quite a bursty carry unlike spectre, AM with manta & abyssal blade can just pop on you with manta illusions & stun you to drop your mana considerably low, then he can either mana void you or if your mana is still not low enough you have to run anyway because if you manfight him you won't have enough mana to use your pounce/ulti or shadowblade to escape.
Also medusa is another ez carry for slark idk who mentioned her lol
