Midusa > safedusa, especially if your in the sentinel side. The medium camp below helps farming a lot. But if there is a better mid herk on your team (e.g. OD, Invoker, Tinker), give it to them.
Safedusa is good but her skillset doenst help you secure a kill. Give it to other hero on your team (jugg, slark, drow)
Offdusa is actually good. If you can secure some last hit, your fine.
Offdusa disturbing enemy carry and its babysitters nicely alone.
Zoning off all melee nicely and quite hard to kill if suported with proper warding.

You can sustain your mana with serpents
You can farm while roaming with split shot

how the hell does offdusa work. i see her getting beat to death ogre and ogre by an ogre ogre/ogre times.
You go mid Medusa for 2 reasons.
1- she can handle herself mid, and your line up didn't pick a better one
2- you are better then your MMR and you want to simultaneously make sure your team wins the mid lane, every midgame fight, and the late game all at once.
Well usually in pro games medusa is only mid cus they do a drow strat with medusa and want drow safe.
But mid dusa works cus dusa 1v1 in lane is a nightmare, snake does so much freakin dmg.
She is actually hard to kill cus mana shield, so not the most gankable, especially post 6 with gaze.
She can dip into jungle and farm a camp when wave is pushed.
She can't really kill anyone mid cus she's slow and has no disables, nor can she really gank, but she can get a lot out of the lane and push people out with snake.
a bloodlusted snake woman can do quite a bit of dmg with just phase. specially with a drow aura, thats a strong trio.

Is there any benefit to putting this hero mid? I guess it is pretty handy to stack ancients if you push a wave out, but other than that and dodging the lane I don't quite get it. Solo exp maybe? But you can do that in safelane as well, by having a dual offlane and a roamer, or having your support pull all the time since you can aid in zoning the offlaner(s) anyway. While dusa won't easily die to a solo mid hero, early on she's still kinda vulnerable to ganks, while ganking a safelane medusa is much harder. With all that solo exp medusa still isn't a hero like ta (not that ta is a good hero right now) who would get one key item and then take aegis and push with the team, since medusa would actually prefer to get a farming item and then rotate the jungle and push out waves with relative safety.
