because pa natively has a gap closer, which is 1/2 the point of SB, you could have basher BKB or diffusal instead

think about it like this:

what kind of a hero is pa? pa is a snowball type of hero who can do a lot with a few core items. she excels at killing things but is shit at farming. innate evasion and crit allows her to be active around the map with relatively low farm when compared to most carries, which balances her up

what does pa need? as a trade off for blur and coup de grace, she is quite squishy and is susceptible to being bursted down. this means she needs items that lessen the damage she takes. since blur takes care of physical attacks, she needs magical protection. voila! you found her first core item which is bkb. she also lacks stuns

when is her highest power spike? midgame where teams 5 man smoke into each others' jungle and where teamwipes that transition into pushes is what dictates the pace of the game. at this point supports have enough sustain to keep the push on, and pa has a level 2 coup de grace + maxed out q and w, maximizing her natural dmg output

what does this mean for her itemization? she generally needs items that tank her up such as vladmirs/bkb/hod if really needed. she does not need initiation ie dagger/sb since she has blink strike. farming items should not be built on her because her power spike is earlier than most carries and she falls off once they tank up or get mkbs, in which she becomes really frail. she needs to close the game early with high impact cost efficient items that complement her skillset ie desolator/basher

also vlad deso lets you rosh at 17-21 minutes with smoke and a couple buddies, which usually turns into a t2 taken and 3-5 dead enemy heroes

i dont know but bloodthorn + sb work for me without bkb.. since 2k player wont stick together they will farm solo, and im only need ward to their forest and hunt them 1 per 1.. mayb this build only work on 2k average..

the same reason you don't buy blink dagger or diffusal on antimage, he already has it and doesn't stack with his natural ability.

same with PA with SB or bloodthorn, you already have an initiation/escape/gap closer mechanism and a crit ultimate.

if you want CC, you get basher/abyssal/mkb

vlads deso is good build for fighting early and snowballing the game further. the faster you end the better chances you have of winning the game

it fell of a bit but enemies were not that difficult so I could win this game even after pulling it till 45 minutes. died 4 times early got deso really late else game could've ended much faster

just BUY SMOKE TO HUNT 2KS, you save 2650 gold

shadowblade is terrible on a hero who is already pretty bad. and never go bloodthrone on pa, if youre having to deal with evasion go mkb please. and the game you posted you were up against a solo offlane, as a pa and lion safelane you should have had your bf earlier than that

I only build Sb on pa if i face strong enemy passive (Axe , BB...etc) so i can upgrade it to Silver edge.

Everything if sitution :

If there a omni on enemy team you will need something provide you some hp in early game (Van , Armlet) then get a Diffusal

If you think you can win early game , Get vlad and deso

If the enemy have strong early line up , get HoD and Bf then farm up.

You asked why not to build SB and you responded "it works for me so why not"?
You already has an innate initiation and escape tool, you don't need bloodthorn because extra crits is stupid (you picked PA for her free crits right)
If you need some disable go get MKB, abyssal, or even hex, those are way less counterable and way more gold efficient

Tbh there are way less cases where SB is a good pickup on PA compared to where SB is a good pickup on AM or sven
And those heroes get SB like 1/50 games

no joke minimap doesnt exist in 2k, when i played pa for a bit i legit just walked across their ward spots, i could get a multi kill from that shit and i could do it again and again
