thank you for reminding me that normal heroes can safely creep jack with a boots advantage
cant really help you my old strat was abandon lane until they rotate and then bully the 1v1, now i pick es or just creep block/jungle a lot
both double pull and contesting offlaners camps are very rare in low 4k what are u talking about op
@alenari they placed ward in my offlane camp. after zoning me out and forcing me to jungle, a bloodlusted SB charged me with venom.
it happens.
@mof it was an example. they can place pretty much anything in that offlane and force rotations so that it's a 1v1 (necro, shaker, w/e)
it happens but its very rare 19/20 games ur jungle is uncontested even if u sit there for minutes
But, i think that was what offlaners are supposed to be: supports magnet so your mid and safelaner are safe and get a big chunk of farm
When the supports are tied to you, you have done the job well. I feels like securing offlaner farm is pretty much useless compared to securing safelane and/or mid. The only times when you go supporting offlane is when your carry already ahead from enemy's offlaner and mids pretty much won
But this is an insight of NS unranked player plebs so read with caution :p
As axe if I am against a hard lane I'll stack the medium camp and then sap xp under tower and take runes and take stacked camps
As void i try to contest the supports and burn their Regen, but only once I have level 2. If the lane is rlly hard I wait till talon morbid or talon headress then jungle indefinitely.
I can't rlly give advice on anyone else cuz axe and void r my most played heroes.
Maybe as legion I'd do the same thing as axe.
Thing is in my bracket the offlane is usually a breeze cuz supports don't pull, don't know how, or don't zone, don't trilane, etc.
Youtube "offlane X hero" and every pro video will show you the "revert to jungle" fall-back strategy.
I guess there is no magical counter to enemy supps staying on you except hoping that your safe lane is enjoying free-farm (except your team has a jungle LC which means your safe lane isn't as safe as expected).
bottomline: -25 and move on.
axe can take a stacked medium camp at lvl 2 with a salve, so if u expect a hard lane i start with 2 tangoes and a salve and a stout
i think i saw s4 doing this
lvl 1 axe isnt THAT strong, he can be easily zoned out, but people in my bracket dont know this
he also trades really poorly outside of the creepwave, so burning the enemy supports hp by trading isnt rlly possible
so u have to rely on contesting pulls if possible, and jungling if its too hard
i love axe in case u didnt figure it out
i usually play mid, but offlane is my second lane cuz i love axe so much.
the only time i pick axe is when the enemy fucks up draft and has 3 melee or 2 melee and 1 jungle, but hes a fairly tanky hero with good regen and turns into a blender near creeps
against sub 5ks just carry a tp and call + tp after the trilane brainlessly uses all their stuns. ez rares
"the recurring theme of your posts seems to be that you cannot avoid losing"
that's right. hence most people end up with <60% win rate in ranked mm, 51% in your case.
edit: soloq this month: https://www.dotabuff.com/players/215678138/matches?date=month&lobby_type=ranked_matchmaking&party_size=solo
i ground this account up to 5k a long time ago and gave it to my 3k friend brick. go look at my match history, 2 periods of playing mid with 70% winrate and 1 period in the middle of spamming support with 15% winrate
ok bro you're right my 70% winrate after 2 months of not playing dota proves your 4k teammates will forever hold you back with their bad drafts
https://www.dotabuff.com/players/411555829
is this still too low for you? 77% winrate over 80 games with meepo and ta? if you think i got good drafts 77% of the time you are smoking crack
nm ur fucking hopeless enjoy whining at ur 4k2 team about draft like ur in ti8 forever
77% isn't 100%. Therefore, losing is unavoidable (even with cheese spamming meepo in low 4k bracket).
It doesn't matter if it's 51%, 60%, 70% or 80%. You'll lose games - that's beyond your control.
And you can't just pull out a random profile to try to prove your point with an outlier data-point lol.
>I guess there is no magical counter to enemy supps staying on you
...Pick a very strong offlane and kill them?
Like, literally force 4-5 pick offlane, pick a proper dual lane or solo hero and rape them.
Your team doesn't matter at that point.
You lose, when you tilt, make mistakes and/or pick shit.
Some games really are unwinnable, buy they are rare (realistically one per 20 or so, assuming you play perfectly).
dude even this account of yours has a 63% win rate normal match-making. stop kidding yourself lol
I can pick and choose too. Hey look my sven has 90% win rate in ranked mm. I'm a god of dota.
that's right. Normal matchmaking is extremely unbalanced and matches 6ks and 4ks in the same pool, creating awful quality matches
but i didnt lose because of that, i lost because of mistakes i made
your inability to take ownership for your own failings will take you far
If you don't feed in the offline and the supports are always in lane then you did your job
Offlane is suposed to be fucked up dude.
As offlaner you'll won your lane in 1 of 10 games, most of the games you "survive" the lane.
his offlaning potential is nil, the enemy knows more when you are charging people and you dont need the xp and gold anywhere near as much as other heroes, and sbs scaling is garbage
roam sb is amazing, you can stay off the map and get a fuckton of kills
Since we're comparing dick size.

I had 65% ranked winrate at some point.
And OP lmao are u looking for actual advice or excuses that it is impossible to win. How is "it's not 100%" even an argument. Wtf. That number depends on skill level difference. The bigger the difference the bigger this number. Who the fuck said you're supposed to win all your games. The fact is, out of a hundred games, someone much better than you is winning 20 games that you lost because of "unwinnable" reasons.

In higher MMR games people pull off lone druid offlane and it works because enemy supports are forced to rotate, allowing 1v1 offlane matchups.
In relatively lower MMR games (4K-5K), that's not the case in most games. I play offlane a lot, and I almost always run into these situations.
1. Zoned out. If I ward to block camps, enemy supports deward them and the double pull from small and mid camps go on and on and on and I get no XP. The creep wave is just outside enemy T1. If I get close, I get 3v1 ganked by CM/Pudge + some hc.
2. I fall back to jungle. I stack 2 waves and try to farm it. Enemy supps 2v1 me and try to steal it.
Some tricks up my sleeve:
a. Earthshaker - I usually block the first wave with fissure (twice) so I get the xp from the first wave. I get boots and then walk over between enemy T1 and T2 and pull entire creep wave to me (supps usually don't get boots by this point so they can't follow me).
b. SB - If I'm zoned out. I'll charge mid and force enemy supps to rotate.
c. Lich - Boot first and max dark ritual. This works pretty well because it forces the creep wave near your tower, although you're still vulnerable to being zoned out and ganked.
d. Bristleback - Really need lvl 2 on this guy badly. Even if he does feed firstblood 3v1, he has the ability to stand ground pretty well with PMS, a wand, and a mango.
e. Axe - Can fall back to jungle (but jungle is garbage and I'd rather first try to fight the lane).
f. Underlord and sandking - these guys are very easy to zone out. They can't jungle easily early game either (unless you go lvl 2 sandstorm on sk at lvl 3 and sit in jungle for ages).
Any other ideas from offlane experts? Assume your supports are bad and won't help you.
