Try playing off lane heroes such as ES, Undying, those who deal a lot of damage...
I calibrated at 1.8k solo mmr because of supporting lul(FeelsBadMa'am)
Or just go PA mid lane and spam dagger lol nobody counters that hero in low skill brackets
u didnt calibrate at 1.8 cz of supporting, u calibrated at 1.8k cz you are bad.
it doesnt matter much which role u play during and b4 the calibration as long as u understand at least a little bit what you are doing
No I calibrated at 1.8k because of picking heroes who didn't have a lot of impact(cant remember them)
And ye lol I was bad, the transition between DotA and DotA 2 was TOUGH
Ye that's over 1 year and a half ago
Back to the topic; don't pick supports during calibration, just don't...pick heroes who deal a lot of dmg and try getting a lot of Last Hits
stop blaming it on the heroes lol, its not true, even if it makes u feel better. u got what u deserved.
like killsteal- said, i once calibrated an account to 4.8k with supporting, you just simply suck at dota.
role has nothing to do with how bad you are, a high mmr player will always calibrate near the calib limit no matter what role he plays
calibrating in a 5 carry team is a suicide so i prefer picking support. BTW look at my recent matches, i am playing good as a support yet id drop down to high skill dunno why
Agreed. Most of the times i play with heroes pos4-5. As u know, people in low bracket (especially SEA toxic) all goes to core, so with my braveheart i play pos4-5. It doesnt mean i cant carry, i just prefer to play pos 4-5. In other hand, when i intendes to pick core, they said i have low gpm, tilting and nethink on me. I hope valve make different callibration info for other roles.
Much harder to get to high mmrs calibration when only supporting.
That’s why you see 5 carry teams in every smurf game
Im going with full support role guys, i will update as soon as i get my mmr. I will be trying low gpm but high xpm, high kda, healing allies and long duration stuns, warding and dewarding, buying sod, dust, courier.
Your normal games can prob give u a good gauge of what bracket you are in. i believe it is harder for supports to calibrate very high mmr as a bad carry can bring you down esp at lower levels even though its not your fault. but at the end you will get a somewhat accurate reflection playing a few games after calibration, as a good support can win games when you got somewhat decent cores who dont think that 1v5 is the ultimate aim
*you just suck*
*dont listen to silly people*
Fook off already lol, smh people here hating on others' opinions/comments. F off already(I usually mute these kind of retards)
-Yes, supporting suck at low brackets but I grinded to 4k by that, up to you and gl
Edit: @Sup Or Feed
You the type of guy to jungle with BS and call other dota players *silly*
lol
roam support sk.
When a higher player says you can, if you're a low idiot stop saying it can't happen just because you're too stupid to do it.
well you need to know how to support, its harder to support properly than to carry for people who have been playing carry all the time.

Are you silly and not reading what i write? I say that support can calibrate and can grind too. I got my mmr only from supporting, adn BS jungle was not the case since 2015 (when bs was op). If you are so easy to tilt, why you play dota? Or are you a kid of 12 years old?
Im thinking about adding sk into my pool, but when i play him as a support roam, dotabuff considered my sk as a core even tho i clearly play a support (playstyle wise)

I've read that KDA, gpm and xpm plays a big part on your calibration and skill bracket. However, im a support that put wards, dewards, heal, tp when somebody is dying, everything a support must do to win the game, so putting a 600+ gpm & xpm is not my thing. Do Valve have different calibration mechanics on support players? or do i need to change my role to core?
