Either Nullifier+Bloodthorn or Hex+Bloodthorn, preferably with Blink Dagger/Silver Edge/both.

yeah spend 13k gold on 0 survivability just so you can get countered by a 4k gold item, great idea. you should almost never buy both unless you really want to fuck over that one hero. both items are extremely luxury and although they go well together, you are generally better off getting other items.
You would get Nullifier as 4-6 slot, nowhere did I say you rush it.
You would have something like Blink-BKB-Radi-Bloodthorn-Hex/Nullifier relatively fast.
Or PT-Bloodthorn-Nullifier-Medallion-etc., depending on playstyle (some build Rad, some don't like it, some go MoM-Deso-BKB, etc.)

It's viable.
@OP just watch higher level games with people, who have lots of experience w/Brood. Ask on their streams. Ask in PM. Watch replays.
Asking on this forum is a time waste 90% of the time.

If you want to learn any hero, you don't ask randoms on forums, but watch replays, ask very specific people (not me, but guys with high number of games played, high winrate, high MMR at the same time on this specific hero) why they do that or that, etc. and try to mimic+understand why and how.
