i have played on laptop for the last 5+ years, its fine. you will get used to it. now every time i go to a netcafe or something i need like at least 10 minutes to get used to the regular keyboards.
I play on my laptop, I got a USB hub to be able to support more USB devices, then I bought an external keyboard. It felt too weird to rest my hand on the laptop for the keys.
external keyboard are peanuts anyway, implying you are not buying one with the extra keys that you have no use for in dota anyway
I did have a laptop before and played dota on before i
and its keyboard broke on me after a year of use and had to use an external keyboard for it and i didnt like it. Idk if dota is the cause of it breaking but i am scared it would happen again cobsidering how dota is played.
So... what's the question here?
If your concern is keyboard breaking - it obviously depends on quality of the laptop. But under regular use, you should be fine.
when i play dota on my laptop i use it as screen only and attach my regular keyboard and mouse. theres personal preference tho, im sure you can get used to it.
quality shouldnt be an issue as long as you dont buy it in a discounter
Gaming on laptop for 3 years...wont wearout, just make sure you cut your finger nails before playing
@.vraGG_ Overall experience and quality assurance i guess
But then again its been a long time since i played on a laptop keyboard so thanks also for the headsup guys

Also depends on who is using. While I'm not playing dota 2 on my laptop, I played a lot of other games there (ps2 emulator, neptunia, metal gear, a lot of jrpg, etc) for like 4years and the keyboard still works fine.
Just dont use too much force when pressing the keyboard. And never rage while Playing lol
laptops don't really offer much value for the money if you want them for gaming, I'd say get a pc and a cheap laptop if you need it for school
I used laptop before getting a pc for like 5 years, it was fine but pc is much more comfortable, the laptop also often broke down and it's pretty difficult to open them up and replace shit because they're designed so
My laptop keyboard broke about 1 month ago after about 6 years of dota, fortunately I won an actual keyboard in a local LAN lul but I wouldn't worry about your laptop if it's brand new.

Hi guys im planning to buy a laptop for school and dota 2 and i am scared that keyboard would wear down and break on me and i dont like the setup pf using an external keyboard and laptop.
I am also considering just getting a pc if the keyboard is a deal breaker.
