I just watched a void pos 1 itemize the following: treads, mom, mjnollir, skadi?LOL, daedelus, with a lich necro kunka...vs a viper silencer and void spirit and bristleback. I forget the other 2 heroes, they dont really matter. Void is my #1 hero statistically over 1k games in the entire game, so I know a little about his strengths and weaknesses. Hopefully based on this basic description, you can easily see how threatening void spirit, silencer, and viper are to void without some form of magic defense. The match lasted almost 60 minutes, and I did'nt see silencer successfully use his ult versus the void, over like 5+ team fights. For one thing, and for another, the bristleback engaged at least 3 times by himself, feeding his team's lead, 700 gold on average each time. That's why the match lasted so long, it was bad versus bad. Given void's build, there were 3 ways at the base (excluding disabling items) the enemy team could nullify all his damage items. All they had to do was keep viper outside chrono, bait it, and oh yeah, the other hero was ogre. So they had 4 ways to block time walk, which imo is void's biggest strength, next to chronosphere. His chronos were poor too, used on a silencer r the bristle. In sum, 100% of the time to reduce variance and risk to its minimum, he would've needed a bkb or manta. At least one of those, and they could've had a better chance at turning the game around and winning. Without those items, they're relying on the bristleback to keep feeding solo, relying on the enemy team playing ignorantly.
I spent 11 years of my life playing DOTA, taking it very seriously, maybe 50,000+ hours invested in it. Right now, I'm broke, jobless, and living in my mom's basement, while my 1 bedroom apartment next to one of the largest cities in the world, is empty. I'm turning 34 in a few months, and 35 was always my cut off point with regards to trying to assemble a team and compete in tournaments...for the purpose of generating the most unique gameplay.
I don't agree with the system that, one person has to outperform 9 others to increase rank. And in fact, I don't care about mmr, I care about forming a team with other folks who share the same passion for the game as myself, and therefore would take their time in it seriously. That's the only reason 11 years of my life was spent trying to play with different folks, and I won't allow the system to rob me of my life any longer, regardlless of how much time I spent on the game, and how much I know about it. My issue is that I've never had a chance to play with serious people, against serious people. All the times I've lost in the last thousands of games was because of people not participating normally, which isn't an unjust expectation to have.
If I make it back home, probably will take another 2 months, after struggling financially for so many years, I most certainly will not have my time wasted by a rigged matchmaking system any longer. Had I recorded the thousands of games that were thrown by my teammates, for the following reasons: throw picks in ranked roles mode, afk farming until losing 30-60 minutes wasted, and feeding like the bristleback, I'd have proof, you'll have to assume I'm telling the truth. These behaviors were performed by the same steam users, dozens who i've been losing with since I was 24 years old. I'm not going to waste my life like that anymore.
By the time I get back, the cooldown on my number for ranked will have expired, and time is somethinng I refuse to waste anymore in my life. In the 4 weeks I've been away from that pool of players, I've transcribed several songs on the drumset, and have been renewing all my math skills. Basically, anything else I spend that kind of energy and time on, I see results, because they're not afflicted by the foul behavior of other people, the same people too. It would probably make sense to open a brand new account, play the preliminary matches, and then make my final attempt at this thing, as opposed to wasting another 4 months trying to increase the behavior score from 1000 to 10000 so I can simply stop playing with losers who do'nt value their time? I've spent at least 1000 hours trying to have a normal behavior score (10000) on my "main" account, the one where I have 20 heroes all level 20 or higher in dota plus levels, which should prove at least somewhat that i have some mechanical skill on those heroes.
